While bedridden, I serendipitously discovered this amazing new TV series -- it does not even have enough user ratings yet -- starring Tim Roth as a House-esque face-reader.

Surprisingly thoughtful, well-plotted, and with a diverse range of cases. People who find House too preposterous ought to give this one a try -- they're on Hulu.

ah yeah... we had a slight brush with it here, but managed to fend it off with sleep and echinacea before it got a grip. went in to teach a week ago though and half my little class of 8 was dying of the plague. We're running about a day behind where I wanted to be in the lectures 'cause I took a look at them and realized I was going to have to slow the lecture down or a bit or no one was going to follow it.

Echinacea -- got to remember that for next time. The one thing I tried that helped the most was, funnily, a simple saline spray. The preservatives they put there supposedly make you a bit more prone to infections but the alternative is gasping for breath every other second...

Finally gotten over it though, phew. Had a good break?
